JasonM
You're forgetting Grosjean, whose been utterly awful compared to K-Mag this year and has cost Haas a lot of points by making dumb mistakes, like going off in France. K-Mag has had 6 points finishes whereas Gro has only had 2, and K-Mag has only had one retirement all year and that was in the disaster of Australia. Grosjean went into the season with the expectation of being the best of the rest, right now he's the worst of the mid-tier drivers not named Stoffel, and you can't put all the blame on Stoffel for the McLaren woes because Alonso always punches above his weight. Also with how Sainz is performing it vindicates Red Bull for going with Max a few years ago, Sainz for all his talent also has an attitude problem and it even makes a team like Renault look around for other drivers like Ocon, sure, part of it is because they want a Frenchman in their car, but Sainz hasn't made himself irreplaceable. I've said it time and time again, Hülkenberg is the best driver in F1 that isn't Fernando Alonso and who isn't driving for one of the top 3 cars. If Renault makes a leap, he'll make it happen. Him never having gotten a podium is more a statistical aberration than an indication of him not being good enough.

Katsuya
(Also you're all wrong if you don't have Brazil last. Brazil should always be the last one on the calendar, like Australia has to be first. Stupid Abu Dhabi )
Chris2K
Also, it should go France, Britain, Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Italy in that exact order. These are the rules.

JasonM
Now that FI has gone into administration we can expect the takeover bids to arrive. It's a dirty game, but for whoever wants to buy the team now they can do so for pennies on the dollar, the only thing they really have to pay for now is the infrastructure and any outstanding debts/wages. Here's to hoping there's actually truth to all the takeover rumours, and we won't have only 18 on the grid next season.

JasonM
Boring race with a ridiculous couple of final laps. Bottas on ancient tyres, but he completely malfunctions mentally under pressure, nearly ending Vettel's race with a tyre slash and then slamming into Ricc. Surely Bottas needs to get a penalty for this right? Get set back a few spots, rather than a time penalty that wouldn't move the needle? Anyways, Gasly 6th, showing that Honda can at least do something on a track like the Hungaroring. More Renault drama with Max having his breakdown. Ultimately a really boring race, though. Admin Lineker Posted August 3, 2018 Author Admin Report Share Posted August 3, 2018 Quote Niki Lauda is recovering from a lung transplant. Announcing the news in a statement on its website, Vienna general hospital said the 69-year-old Austrian had been suffering from “severe lung disease”. The hospital added that the transplant was “successfully performed” and that there would be no further statements. Lauda had cut short his holiday in Ibiza last week and returned to Vienna after developing a lung infection, the Osterreich newspaper reported. He won world titles as a Formula One driver in 1975, 1977 and 1984 – with Mercedes and Ferrari, the last two despite suffering serious burns in a major crash at the German Grand Prix in 1976. Lauda, who also required kidney transplants in 1997 and 2005, is the father of four children from two marriages – Lukas (39), Mathias (37) and eight-year-old twins Max and Mia. He was appointed as Mercedes’ non-executive chairman in 2012 and was involved in the signing of Lewis Hamilton to the team.

Admin Lineker Posted August 3, 2018 Author Admin Report Share Posted August 3, 2018 Yeah it has to be, unless there's a huge shock and he goes to Ferrari. I guess Gasly goes to Red Bull now as Verstappen and Sainz supposedly cannot get along in a team? So Sainz to McLaren has to happen, right?
