Mississippi State's Chris Jones, a potential first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, was arrested for driving with a suspended license Wednesday, according to the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Office.

Free-agent offensive tackle Andre Smith confirmed Thursday that he's headed to the Vikings from the Bengals. Smith signed a one-year deal for $3.5 million that can be worth as much as $4.5 million, a source involved in the deal told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

Donald Penn back to Oakland, Russell Okung to Denver.

After missing out on both I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants wind up going O-line in the first round for the 3rd time in 4 years (and the 2nd year in a row using a top 10 pick on the OL).

Really underwhelmed by most of the OL prospects though, would prefer to just go with another defensive upgrade or even WR and look for OL help in the 2nd or 3rd.

Lance Dunbar agrees to one-year deal with Cowboys.

Darrelle Revis sidelined 2-3 months by wrist surgery.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that Chris Johnson has chosen to return to the Cardinals on a one-year deal worth $3 million, per a source involved with negotiations. The team later confirmed that both sides have agreed to terms. Rapoport also reported Johnson turned down nearly double that amount from another team, said to be Miami.

Christine Michael has re-signed with Seattle Seahawks.

#6 is pure salt by Baltimore after New England got that play by them last year.  There is nothing more to it then that.  Deadspin broke it down as, basically, a player that reports "eligible" would have to put on a temporary eligible number to show it...ie put on a red scrimmage jersey for that play

That makes a lot of sense, but I still think something needs to be done in a similar nature for defensive penalties in their own red zone. Maybe its because the Aqib Talib penalty from the Super Bowl is still on my mind, but it does seem unfair that a defender can deliberately give away a penalty inside the five yard line knowing it will cost 2.5 yards at the most.

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker was critically injured in a dirt bike crash in Southeast Florida on Thursday night, the Ravens announced.

Walker, 23, was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami in critical condition, the team said.

"This is devastating news," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. "Our prayers and hopes are with Tray and his family tonight."

The Miami-Dade police department added further details in a press release.

"Walker was heading westbound on Northwest 75th Street on a Honda dirt bike with no lights and wearing dark clothing when he collided with a Ford Escape heading southbound on Northwest 21st Avenue at approximately 7:50 p.m.," the release stated.

Walker, selected 136th overall out of Texas Southern by the Ravens in the 2015 NFL Draft, appeared in eight games last season. He played mostly on special teams.

A native of Miami, Walker attended Miami Northwestern High School.

#11 is a stupid proposal. If you want to say a quarterback can't fall down and then throw it, you should just go full-on college and say whenever someone falls down, they're down. I don't want to see that in the NFL, wish it'd change in the college game, but you can't just single out the quarterback there.

Its come out that this is what Chip Kelly offered the Titans for Mariota last year.

  • A 2015 first rounder (20th overall)
  • A 2016 first rounder (would have been 13th overall)
  • A 2015 second rounder (47th overall)
  • Any quarterback on the roster
  • Any defensive player on the roster

If true, I don't know which party is a bigger idiot, Kelly for offering or the Titans for not jumping all over that.

That's not quite as good as the Herschel Walker deal, but, damn, I would take that in an heart beat.

Resigning Penn shows the Raiders are serious. I honestly think that the AFC West is ripe for the taking, and with the additions they've made, they should be the favorite, due to Denver's QB issues.

Russell Okung's contract contains zero guaranteed money.  So he basically decided to take a long-term, big money contract over a lesser deal that at least included some guranteed money.

I mean, I guess I have to applaud him for being willing to bet on himself like that but for a guy with his injury history it probably would have been better for him to guarantee himself some sort of income.  He could shred his knee in training camp and wind up never making another cent in the NFL.  Very risky.
