I find some of the narratives in football puzzling. The way Jonathan Pearce was banging on about 'old man' and 'the wily old' Schweinsteiger, you'd think he was 65 and still playing. 

The lad is 31, he's 6 months older than Cristiano Ronaldo.

This has been a weird Euros so far. Every team minus maybe Northern Ireland and Ukraine are playing attacking football, yet I've just sat through four 1-0s in the last six matches. And the other two matches, before Russia and Germany scored, were only 1-0 until injury time.

I just looked up what the Irish squad for the Euros is.

I am mostly fascinated by how many of the players are either surprisingly old or I had assumed were retired and how also that there are some players I have never even heard of. I feel like Football Manager had made me aware of whoever Jeff Hendrick is but I didn't think he actually existed.
