I'd be ok with Sergio winning it, though I guess I'm pulling for Hoffman and of course Fowler. Hoffman hasn't done himself any favors today. But Rickie had a hell of a day, so hopefully he keeps that up through the weekend.

It'd be nice to have a new major winner and it would be nice for Sergio. I'm always happy when Mickelson is in contention, the shot he's just played on the 18th being a perfect example of what a genius he is, I hope Spieth doesn't continue his momentum though, he's had a good day today and I could do without hearing the US commentators on Amen Corner talking about how great he is constantly.

I like Spieth, but I'd much rather see Fowler win it for the first time before Jordan gets his second green jacket.

I want Rickie to win, as I've been a fan for years and I always back him. But Baddarina's pick (Phil) is still in the mix as well.

Would love Ryan Moore to place as that'd mean more money for me. I sense it's going far too well though, betting wise, and things will capitulate during Saturday's round.

If you'd offered me Rose and Garcia sharing the lead after the third round I would have bitten your hand off, I just hope one of them goes on to win it. Spieth is lurking a bit too much for my liking, but I'd be happy if Fowler broke his duck as well.

Rose's Back 9 was incredible.

Yeah, Spieth is doing the reverse of last year. He's come out of the shadows and is easily within striking distance. Justin Rose too. Before today I didn't give him a chance of getting back in. I wouldn't mind seeing him win either. Tiger Woods needs to come back, if only to give me a golf villain to not root for.

Rose is always there or thereabouts, isn't he?

Fell asleep around midnight last night whilst watching on a slight delay, so missed most of the back 9. Glad Rickie is still hanging on in there.

Rose won the U.S. Open a few years back, so at least he has a major. Sergio and Fowler are my guys today.

Wasn't that with a score of +1 or something like that? Remember that tournament being ridiculously hard for the players at Merion.

Yeah, Merion was tough as hell. Probably be decades before we see the U.S. Open back in these neck of the woods.

I recall the players complaining, but give me a tournament where the total score is around par over a -18 for the top 10 any day.

Looks like it's basically a Match Play between Rose and Garcia now, with Rose likely to be ahead after the 10th. It's going to be an interesting couple of hours....

 

Spieth finds the water on the 12th yet again. I shouldn't laugh, but I did. Twice.
