Gerrard has been worse than Rooney in this World Cup by a mile and there's little criticism of him for some reason. Gerrard at fault for both goals yesterday, loses the ball in midfield then makes a flimsy attempt of a tackle and in the second goal he flicks it on for Suarez when he should have just left it.

Rooney had a good game yesterday, by far the biggest threat, he played Sturridge in for a good chance and was linking up play well. I would still argue he should be the striker as his best season for United was when he was the striker rather than the no. 10.

in terms of who played worse yesterday, well Cahill and Jags were both worse as were Sturridge, Welbeck and Sterling.

Sturridge in particular really disappointed me because he spent most of the time on the ball either giving it away or throwing himself to the ground.
