Cant blame the manager for Gerrard's inability to miss the first man, Johnson giving Cavani all the time in the world to pick out Suarez and Baines just being generally shite (again). Sterling, Welbeck anonymous. Embarrassing for Gerrard that Henderson looks twice the player he is.

You can only blame the manager so much when the apparent eleven best footballers the nation can provide CANNOT PASS A FUCKING FOOTBALL. The blame lies much deeper than the bloke on the bench in a suit.

It's also we are seemingly incapable of passing to feet, every time we try and play little triangles at least one of the passes is into someone's chest.

You can blame him for playing Henderson too deep, moving Sterling out of position to accommodate an overweight, out of shape, out of form Rooney, and then playing Sterling (and Welbeck) too wide.

Drag Rooney and Welbeck off for Lallana and Barkley, give Henderson license to move forward and press the ball up the pitch and move the defence forward as well.

Haha, Hoddle just said that Rooney is too central - the other day he was saying you can't play him on the wing. All these excuses, I wonder what's next.

Rooney needs to run in a straight line 7m off the centre of the pitch for 45 minutes straight. No more, no less.

Henderson is too deep I agree, but thats more because he hasnt got time to get forward before Gerrard, Baines et al give it away.

I know it's the in thing to blame Rooney for all of England's failings, but he's so not the issue tonight.

He sort of is. We've moved our MOTM against Italy out of position to accommodate him but we're getting nothing extra out of Rooney and Sterling is struggling to get into the game.
