Hornswoggle4PM
No, and I think we'll just have to agree to disagree here but in my opinion one greatly affects the other. In terms of "who can cause the most trouble if he stays in" then yes, Pietersen. But if you don't get out someone like Bell or Cook early on you won't get many chances to do so later on. Noah
I thought Matt might be interested to know that I was listening to ABC radio, Day 1 of the test and one of the commentators said that Engand made a mistake dropping Panesar for Bresnan. METALMAN
So Swann has retired. I don't get it. I always liked him. He was entertaining and by far the best spinner England could hope to have. Bit premature.
Hornswoggle4PM
England have the upper hand at the minute, looks like Jimmy Anderson's finding good form just a bit too late too.
Starvinho
Australia finally all out for 204. England have a lead of 51.
Hornswoggle4PM
Wow, huge turnaround in the last few overs, England effectively 4/143 now and it's back to being about level. Interesting to see if Stokes and Pietersen can stay there for a while or if there's going to be another big collapse to come
phatman
Big collapse... Australia might have this one now
Starvinho
Getting a bit sick of getting up in the morning and seeing England have collapsed, it seems like every time I go to bed everything goes down the shitter! We've still got a chance to win this but our bowlers have gotta have a magic spell tonight.

Hornswoggle4PM
Game over, 4-0. Rogers with his highest ever test score, Watson making another fifty not out to help Australia to an 8 wicket win.
Chris2K
It's at the point of embarrassing now. This is worse than the 2006/07 5-0 demolition because at least we weren't expected to win that series.
Starvinho
We've gotta go all out in te fifth test to try and make it 4-1, 5-0 is looking very likely though. It's not been good viewing for us Englishmen this time around, but I guess you can't win them all. Time to rebuild again..
Chris2K
Expected England side for tomorrow is: 1. Cook 2. Root 3. Bell 4. Pietersen 5. Ballance 6. Stokes 7. Bairstow 8. Broad 9. Borthwick 10. Anderson 11. Rankin So yeah, 5-0 it is.
Hornswoggle4PM
Never heard of Rankin or Borthwick before. Some good news for English fans though, Jos Buttler's been in great nick in the Aussie T20 competition, so you've got a shot at the limited overs games. Chris2K
The Big Bash is by far the best T20 competition in the world, I've been watching as much of it as I can as every game is live in the UK. Plus the Sydney Thunder's two year losing streak is nothing short of hilarious.

Chris2K
Holy crap they dropped Root, not Carberry. Aussies have kept the same XI for the whole series, meaning that Ryan Harris has completed a whole series without getting injured.
Matt
Dropping our most exciting prospect seems so retarded. Hopefully it inspires him to kick on but i fear that it'll just shatter the lad's confidence. He's certainly not been our worst player by any means. Also given the way this series has gone so far putting the convicts in to bat seems like a mistake to me
