METALMAN
Oh my. I usually support in England in these things, but even so, I'm really glad they are struggling. The previous Ashes series was miserably easy. I went to the game at The Oval and it was hard to care because it just didn't matter. Cricket just doesn't work without Australia being the big bad guy, and they need to be good for the to work out. So I'm glad they are good again. Mind you, Mitchell Johnson annoys me a bit. And I'm speaking as someone that actually liked Ricky Ponting. Fantastic performance, mind you.
Hornswoggle4PM
Johnson doesn't bother me too much. I didn't like him when he first started playing internationals because he was a bit shit at the time. Ponting was a bit annoying and Clarke seems a bit too precious, but I'd much prefer him over guys like Warner. Back to the game, with Bell gone it's only the rain that can save England from going 2-0 down now. 4/143 and with a full day and a session to go. Plubby
Root (dating back to the winter) and carberry have been impressing me. Shame for him (great for me) that he couldn't get 100.
Hornswoggle4PM
Both have been good, especially Carberry. Very surprised he hasn't got a century to his name already. Anyway, Australia wins by 218 runs in Adelaide after Broad and co. threw away their wickets with hook shots straight to the outfielders. 2-0 but not over yet by any means. Gazz
It is. Perth is the fastest pitch in the series.
Matt
Yep, we have 1 win in 12 there and it's Johnson's home ground apparently. May as well get on the plane now.

Ace
LUCKY BASTARD!!!I'd love to be there to watch Mitchy bowling bouncers on the fastest pitch. England think they've faced bad before. They're in for a whole new hell at the WACA.
Plubby
We got to the ground 3 hours early and the line just for the members stand was over 2000 people. 90 minutes later we are still not in the ground.
METALMAN
That is incredible! Going to The Ashes has been a dream for me. I tried to get tickets for the Oval test in the summer. But I didn't. Have fun!
Hornswoggle4PM
Quite a big deal made about the captains each playing their hundredth Test before the start. With this bouncy pitch I can see there being plenty of runs both off the bat and as extras.
Plubby
Graeme swann refused to high five the kids onto the field and walked around their honour guard. Massive jerk.

Plubby
SUPER Stevie Smith! Dismisses Ian Bell (Fully a third of Steve Smith's test dismissals are Ian Bell), AND makes tons. He just hates England.
Dan
Why was the last time Australia won? Feels like it's been a while.

Hornswoggle4PM
We lost the last Ashes in Australia, but won the one before that. 06-07 I think but could be mistaken. Edited December 13, 2013 by Hornswoggle4PM
Chris2K
Yeah it was the 5-0 whitewash in 2006/07 when Warne and McGrath retired. Wouldn't bet against a similar result this time.
