Yeah, Townsend's been in good form and kept him out of the squad. I'd quite like to see Lamela play behind the striker, instead of out wide right, but we'll see how it goes. Definitely needs some game time in the league, though.

Liverpool are apparently preparing a £22m bid for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

This makes me very happy. I've wanted him over Christian Eriksen since those rumours first started kicking around.

Last I heard was that Eriksen may be headed to City. I'm kinda torn on him coming to Anfield - most Ajax fans claim to be disappointed with his development, but everyone else rates him quite highly. I think I'd rather we took a punt on Henrikh Mkhitaryan. We have had some success in plucking players from obscurity before.

Easy to forget Eriksen's only 21 as well, he's got plenty of time to get consistent. I'd surprised if he didn't turn out as anything but incredible. It took Oscar a little while to find his feet and now he's looking phenomenal.
