So Carrick is going to play at the back if there's an injury then? Seems a bit silly unless all your other defenders are out

Smalling and Evans are both injured still, expect Ferdinand is probably rested as he struggles to play too many nowadays. We've got fuck all left to play for in the league bar a Europa spot, probably playing it safe for the midweek game. Should be okay though.

Wow, how completely unprofessional of Spurs to be directly negotiating with Van Gaal whilst their manager is still under contract for another year and a half.

Maybe they should keep that in mind the next time they accuse someone of tapping up their players.

It's happened before, when Jol was sacked.

Jol's sacking was so depressing. He was brilliant for us.

Manchester United make five changes from their midweek defeat by Manchester City, with Nemanja Vidic back from suspension to partner Phil Jones at centre-back and Alex Buttner in for Patrice Evra at left-back. Darren Fletcher comes into the centre of midfield alongside Marouane Fellaini, with Ashley Young and Shinji Kagawa recalled to play on the wings. Juan Mata is behind Wayne Rooney up front.
Aston Villa make two changes from their 4-1 home defeat by Stoke last weekend. Ciaran Clark replaces Nathan Baker in the centre of their defence and Marc Albrighton comes in for the injured Karim El Ahmadi in midfield.
Man Utd: de Gea, Rafael, Jones, Vidic, Buttner, Fellaini, Fletcher, Kagawa, Mata, Young, Rooney. Subs: Giggs, Hernandez, Carrick, Nani, Welbeck, Amos, Januzaj.
Aston Villa: Guzan, Bacuna, Vlaar, Clark, Bertrand, Albrighton, Westwood, Delph, Weimann, Benteke, Agbonlahor. Subs: Bennett, Steer, Sylla, Tonev, Holt, Lowton, Robinson.
Referee: Martin Atkinson (W Yorkshire)
And here's today's genuine Old Trafford playlist:

The banner has just gone over .

Man Utd fans are fucking shite. Totally embarrassing.

The fans that organised it are terrible, but it was met by a chorus of boos from most of the fans inside the ground.

0-1. Great.
