I think the simpsonified Chelsea players are just a publicity shot and what will actually happen is that we'll see a bunch of cringeworthy "Homer and Bart wearing Chelsea kits" merc appearing in the megastore... :/

Oh come on! You have a link with the Simpsons and you don't send David Luiz? Somebody, no everybody should be fired for missing the opportunity!

To be fair they probably saved their job by sending a bearded Ralph Wiggum to pose with Cech, Hazard, Terry and Torres.

LONDON (AP) - The English Football Association has banned Nicolas Anelka for five games after finding the West Bromwich Albion striker guilty of causing racial offense with a goal celebration deemed anti-Semitic.
Anelka had denied that his use of the gesture, which is known in France as a "quenelle" and has been described as an "inverted Nazi salute," was anti-Semitic in a Premier League match in December.
But an FA disciplinary panel, which heard the case this week, decided the former France international should miss five games and be fined £80,000 ($133,000).
The gesture involves pointing one straightened arm downward while touching the shoulder with the opposite hand. It was popularized by French comedian Dieudonne M'Bala M'Bala, who has been convicted multiple times for inciting racial hatred or anti-Semitism.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the former Manchester United and Northern Ireland international footballer Keith Gillespie. Gillespie, 39, of Ballycrochan Avenue, Bangor, County Down failed to turn up at Newtownards Magistrate's Court. He had been on bail charged with breaching an order that required him to stay away from a particular area of north Down. The judge said Gillespie had breached his bail so he issued the warrant.

Gesture considered anti-semitic in France already.

Anelka does said gesture.

He should be banned for stupidity alone. Whether the French government's reading of it is 'correct', why would you make what has been perceived as an anti-semitic gesture?

I'm good thanks.

Anelka's been banned because people who do not understand the nature of the gesture have taken the French government's line that it's an anti-Semitic gesture.

You are literally the one person I've come across online or heard in the media with this opinion.

The salute is anti-Semitic. No ifs or buts.
