Basel president Bernhard Heusler claims that there has been no contact with Tottenham over manager Murat Yakin, who has been linked with the vacant manager's job at White Hart Lane.

I kind of want him to go somewhere else. He deserves better than how the English media will treat him regardless. He'll do well somewhere for sure. There's a reason people like PSG & Madrid were monitoring his situation.

He could do a lot worse than WBA. The expectations won't be high and maybe he can do something with them.

I don't know. He did well at Porto, sure, but that was with an excellent team in a mediocre league.

Since then he's failed at two high profile jobs. I wouldn't take a chance on him again. He's tactically naive, aloof and abysmal at coping with pressure. You get the impression he doesn't get on very well with others.

Plus he talks like Bob Dylan sings.

I'd argue he was sacked far too early at both Chelsea & Spurs, but that's not to say he's without his faults.

Hard to say he failed at Spurs. Led them to their highest ever points total in his first season, and left them with more points than they had at this stage of last season.
