Fabrice Muamba is taking his first steps into sports journalism with the help of BBC North West Tonight, who have offered the former footballer a work placement.
The 25-year-old ex-Arsenal, Birmingham, Bolton and England Under-21 midfielder was forced to retire last year after suffering a cardiac arrest during a game in March 2012.
He is now studying for his new career in journalism at Staffordshire University.
