Admin Lineker Posted October 25, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 25, 2013 Pirelli once again are threatening to pull out of F1 unless they're granted more testing.
MJB
Vettel on pole is no surprise but a battle with Webber looks possible at some stage. Should be a good fight for third aswell between Fernando, Kimi and the two Mercs.
Admin Lineker Posted October 26, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 26, 2013 Red Bull's have split the strategies so we could be in for a decent race. India is a good track. lol Grosjean.
Katsuya
Massa at Williams would just make me sad like Barrichello's final year.
EddieG
You all honestly still believe Red Bull will risk having Vettel battle with Webber?
Admin Lineker Posted October 26, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 26, 2013 I think that Webber doesn't give a shit and will do whatever he can to achieve the best result for him.
Katsuya
Plus, it's not exactly like Seb can lose the title now. I think even though there's animosity with Webber, the team still owe him enough for the past few years.
Katsuya
Quelle surprise. Nice scene at the end by Vettel there though. What're the chances he gets a penalty? Also, bloody hell Grosjean. This second half of the season has been the making of him. Makes you wonder what he could have done had they not screwed up qualifying. EDIT: Oh, and the Lotus/Kimi hate is hilarious. "Get out of the fucking way of Grosjean!" - "Don't fucking shout!"
Admin Lineker Posted October 27, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 27, 2013 Kimi has mentally checked out of Lotus; results are hilarious. Decent race, nice scenes with Seb at the end to be honest. Apparently he burst into tears in the press conference when someone asked him how it felt to have won more championships than Senna. Katsuya
Yeah, Kimi is so obviously not bothered it's almost unsettling. It's especially odd considering he's still well in with a shot at 2nd in the drivers championship too, but it almost feels like he wants to spite himself to hurt Lotus. Boullier's said that they're actively speaking to Hulkenburg and Maldonado. It seems he was referring to one seat, so I imagine Romain's safe. He'd have to be, surely... very reminiscent of Hulk being shafted out of Williams for Maldonado's money.
Admin Lineker Posted October 27, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 27, 2013 Yeah, Grosjean won't be going anywhere, and rightly so. Deal is all but done.
Admin Lineker Posted October 29, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 Pastor Maldonado and his PDVSA backers are in the final stages of talks that will secure their exit from Williams, and clear the way for Felipe Massa's arrival. Admin Lineker Posted October 29, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 Ross Brawn will leave his position as Mercedes team principal at the end of the Formula 1 season. Brawn and Mercedes have failed to reach an agreement on a role in which he would have been happy to stay at the team, say sources close to Mercedes. Mercedes will now be run in tandem by their two executive directors, Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe, along with non-executive chairman Niki Lauda. Both Mercedes and Brawn refused to comment on the development.
MJB
Big blow to Mercedes, IMO. I don't mind Wolff or Lowe but I don't see them on Brawn's level.
Admin Lineker Posted October 30, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 30, 2013 Just to add to the confusion, Niki Lauda is now saying that Brawn could in fact stay, and nothing will be confirmed until after Brazil.
MJB
Lauda clutching at straws, me thinks. Brawn's gone.
hugobomb
Lotus are discovering that if you don't pay your number one driver for large parts of the season and he has a Ferrari to drive next season he suddenly stops giving a shit about your team. MJB
The Maldonado to Lotus rumours are stronger than ever and some people are reporting that the deal is done with Massa replacing him at Williams. Meanwhile, EJ has said that Hulkenberg is 'certain' to go back to Force India for 2014, replacing Sutil. Oh and Kimi didn't turn up at the track today
Admin Lineker Posted November 1, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted November 1, 2013 Kimi confirms that he had to be talked out of boycotting Abu Dhabi in protest of not being paid (at all?) Grosjean topped FP1 and Vettel topped FP2.
Admin Lineker Posted November 4, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 Vettel wins again. Yawn. Quantum Motorsports have said its deal to buy into Lotus is complete. Boullier says that they will hopefully be able to confirm this for next year. What that means is that Hulkenberg should be confirmed at Lotus, Maldonado will likely remain at Williams, and Massa will probably drop out of F1 all together, barring a move back to Sauber. We shall see! New Jersey and Mexico to be dropped from the 2014 calendar. Oh, and Kimi has agreed to race in Austin and Brazil for Lotus.
