To me, the Norris trophy is about the best defenceman in the league, not just the highest-scoring. There are easily five to ten D I would build my team around rather than Karlsson. He's a tremendous player, don't get me wrong. I just don't think he's 'best in the league' good.

True. But he was playing well this season in his own end. He leads the league in shots. Not just defenseman, he leads THE LEAGUE in shots. With guys like Weber & doughty struggling, I think he definitely is to be considered thus far for Norris. Of course, all that changes now and possibly could've changed regardless.

Fair enough. As much as I think he was overrated last season, he's been tremendous this year. It truly is a shame -- for him, the team and the fans -- to see a player like him go down with an injury like that. I'm a Leafs fan, and I truly do hope he comes back 100%. He's a special player, and he's a great part of the league.

Yeah, I'm not a Sens fan, but sucks to see a guy go down with a injury when he was playing so well. Hopefully he can come back and play at the same level.

Last season, I don't know if Karlsson was my choice for the Norris. This year? He was one of the best in the league at any position.

Travis Zajac had the same surgery, so Karlsson should be okay.

There last 2 games the Kings who won the cup showed up im expecting that they are gonna turn it up and get a Win streak going

I don't get Leafs TV so I did not get to watch the game, but a weekday away game against Carolina is almost always going to be stinker. Not surprised to see they lost.

I watched the game, and I honestly fell asleep during the second period. I woke up and switched to Impact instead. Impact!

So yes, the game was boring.

So happy to see Tavares living up to all his potential. Sucks that Wang is running the team on the cheap because he's trying to sell it though.

John Tavares would probably be listed as one of the top five players in the league if he didn't play for the Islanders. Maybe the move to Brooklyn will bring more attention to the team, though.

When watching Leafs games, there are only three or four players that scare me every time they are on the ice. Tavares is one of them.

Montreal looked great against Carolina. I don't know how far they'll go this year, but if they keep playing this way, I could see them having a good run in the playoffs.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the Leafs play well on a Monday night against a Southeast opponent. Usually, these are the games the Leafs give away.

Buffalo dropped the hammer on Lindy Ruff today and he'll be replaced by Ron Rolston, who was coaching the farm team in Rochester. Not his fault they've been built wrong, but something did have to give. They've been on the backslide for a while now.
