lanky316
Wales were never in that second half, got a quick break try and almost managed to pinch a second but an absolutely amazing tackle kept him out on the line before Argentina looked fairly comfortable at the finish. Whoever wins tonight can almost book their hotel room for the final I think, that was such a scrappy game you'd expect either to win by a ridiculous score. To be fair, you'd anticipate similar between the winners of England/Fiji without something drastic happening. It's a shame those top couple of pools were so loaded. Bobfoc
In all likelihood, France/South Africa and Ireland/New Zealand will decide the two finalists. It's not looking great for Ireland at the moment.
Cymbols
I have a really depressing sinking feeling that England are going to shithouse this whole thing. 1
Bobfoc
Ireland have to take this opportunity now. What they do in the next ten minutes with New Zealand down a player will be so crucial. 42 minutes ago, Cymbols said: I have a really depressing sinking feeling that England are going to shithouse this whole thing. I just can't see it myself. I don't think they have the discipline to grind out matches against the best teams at the moment.
Bobfoc
This will haunt Ireland for a long time. New Zealand's defence was superb, but that's a big opportunity missed.
Cymbols
Death, taxes, Ireland shitting the bed in a quarter final. Suddenly I feel a lot better.
The Kraig
I needed a cigarette after that All Blacks win. What a game, what a final those two could have had. There wasn't much faith in beating Ireland amongst my Kiwi pals, but suddenly they're "gonna win the whole thing now". Let's go Fiji, southern hemisphere power or something! Bobfoc
It's a bit of a shame that we've reverted to Southern Hemisphere supremacy after all the groups were won by Northern Hemisphere nations. It would have shaken things up a bit to have an NH team other than England or France reach the final for the first time.
Bobfoc
These quarter finals are a bit exciting.
Cymbols
UNREAL half of rugby.
lanky316
This has been an amazing game, ridiculous first half of rugby and with more to come can't wait to see what the second half holds.
Bobfoc
Great entertainment so far. England should consider it a great success if they don't lose by more than twenty points next week.
Bobfoc
That's four thrilling quarter finals. This is shaping up to be the most entertaining World Cup ever. Somehow, England are the only unbeaten team left in, and that was nearly not the case with the Samoa match. It's an exciting time for world rugby, even if we'll almost certainly end up with the usual suspects in the final.
Cymbols
Game was ultimately decided by a charged down conversion. Unreal game. Unreal weekend of rugby. I still have the fear about England though…
Bobfoc
France have a reasonably young team and should be big contenders in 2027, but they'll still be gutted. Missing the opportunity to win on home soil when they were arguably favourites will be a big setback to get over.
The Kraig
Fiji and France, take a bow. Top rugby, truly exciting to watch. That France and Springboks match was full of powerful tries, every single try had me reacting like I was being punched. This tournament has kicked arse. England are now the only undefeated team. @Cymbols 😰

lanky316
I was impressed with Argentinas start and fight, they're not freezing on the occasion and haven't been making stupid errors but they're just not as good. It could get ugly but with half hour up it's still close.
Bobfoc
Argentina did a decent job for a while, but the gap in quality is showing now. New Zealand vs. South Africa ought to be a great final.
