The BBC sport commentary feed just got brilliant.

Great Britain's Geraint Thomas on the men's team pursuit gold medal: "In November we were in the track at 7.30 in the morning, they stopped us going to a Rihanna concert in November. They have been on our backs since then. It has been full on. To finish it off it is amazing. I was ill last week and it was tough mentally to get back to where I was but without these boys I couldn't have done it."

Geraint Thomas had to miss out on seeing Rihanna - a truly devastating blow.

But now he's got one of those massive Olympic gold medals around his neck I reckon he'll agree it was all worthwhile.

With the symbol they've been using for a disappointment next to it.
