That's crazy, makes me feel slightly better for GB in that it sucked we got relegated but it surely must feel a lot worse to be relegated from the gold medal ride.

Yeah, this. It's there for a reason, and they should know not to do it. Sure it sucks, but them's the rules you enter for. Can't chop and change rules based on countries making mistakes.
