It still doesn't mean we won't see Rhaegar. We could get flashback scenes of the tourney at Harrenhal, then Lyana and Rhaegar escaping, and then whatever happened at the Tower of Joy.

Yeah, mine is speculation built off a scene in one of the later books, its not confirmed but it seems a likely scenario.

Really glad I picked up the books. I like seeing everything that didn't make it into the show...in my mind, just adds an extra level to it. Like how...(Book 1)

Robert was going to enter the melee...and there were assassins in there. And that wasn;t the first attempt to kill him! That's cool shit.

Unfortunately, I am a slow reader, so I'm only about 80% of the way through the first book, and have 4 more to go. Hoping to finish the series before the show starts up again.

Has it been confirmed that they're definitely doing the Iron Born arc this season? If they're going to chop it and fuck it up like the Martells then I'd rather they'd just leave it out.

There were casting calls and one sounded similar to an Iron Born central figure. I think that is the only thing we're working from.
