Bobfoc
Callum Smith fights Canelo tomorrow. Smith will have a big size advantage, but Canelo is very much the betting favourite and will become a four-weight champion if he wins. It's a bit strange that this has fallen under a radar a bit. Benjamin
How the hell is there a crowd at the Alamodome for this? Isn’t Covid fucking up Texas like mad? What the fuck.
Meacon Keaton
Tyson Fury/Anthony Joshua to happen in "May or June 2021" according to Fury's people. Sounds like they're finalizing details with Joshua's side and figuring out a location. Most likely Saudi Arabia.
Bobfoc
It's such a shame that the shady business of boxing, couple with a global pandemic, mean that it's taking place in Saudi Arabia. Having it at Wembley Stadium would have made for one of the biggest sporting occasions in British history.
gunnar hendershow
One would assume this won't be their only meeting though, so the Wembley bout can still happen.
Bobfoc
It all depends on the money, you'd think. Even before the pandemic, a lot of the talk was of a Saudi fight. If they get enough money, promoters like Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn won't care about crowds.
Mad Jack
It also depends on the involvement of Daniel Kinahan, the Irish gangster who is Tyson Fury's 'advisor'. Not surprised that scum would gravitate towards scum, tbh. But Kinahan's involvement is bad for boxing.
Bobfoc
Boxing is a sleazy business, so I wouldn't be surprised if it all got swept under the rug. It's a sport that took a convicted rapist in Mike Tyson, branded him the "baddest man on the planet" and made even more millions out of him. More recently, large sections of the media were happy to dismiss Floyd Mayweather's domestic abuse charges as "scuffles" because he was the sport's biggest cash cow. Daniel Kinahan should be nowhere near a sport that wants a clean image, but combat sports so often get off the hook for involving criminals that resistance will probably be meekly defeated. Benjamin
Sports will always have grime to it, but combat sports absolutely loves dirty people, they almost seem to embrace it with open arms.
Meacon Keaton
Did anyone else watch the PBC on Fox tonight? Fairly even, if maybe a little boring main event between Anthony Dirrell and Kyrone Davis. Some really exciting undercard bouts though. But Jesus, whoever the color commentator was was friggin' terrible. Brian Kenny would ask a question to him or just try to get his opinion on a potential fight and he'd either not be listening and go on about something else entirely or he'd be a smart-ass dickwad back to Kenny, who clearly was just trying to get a discussion going. Poor Lennox Lewis would pipe up and try to steer the conversations back to the fight, because the asshole color guy was being a major prick anytime Kenny spoke to him. It was so uncomfortable and unprofessional.
Bobfoc
Dillain Whyte and Alexander Povetkin are featured on some new Gibraltarian coins. The bad news is that they look like this:
The Buscher
Jake Paul vs Ben Askren went about as expected Spoiler Blatantly rigged with Askren going down to one single punch. Cameras then showed him and his wife leaving and they had the biggest smiles. Congrats on the payoff.
gunnar hendershow
The entire gimmick is having Paul rack up enough wins against guys taking dives, etc and then cashing out with a massive PPV against a real boxer who just punches his face in. I suppose this is exactly what Jake Paul is planning as well. He's gotta be in on it.
Mad Jack
It didn't seem rigged from where I was sitting tbh. It also apparently did 1.45 million buys, and may even top 2 million. That's an insane number.
Bobfoc
Canelo vs. Saunders starts in a few hours. There's expected to be an indoor crowd of 70,000, which seriously reckless. I'd like to back the British fighter, but Saunders is an incorrigible bumbag.
DavidMarrio
A US judge has ruled that Wilder and Fury must fight before September which could place doubt on Fury/Joshua. But more likely scenario is Wilder will be offered a fuck ton of money in order to allow Fury/Joshua to happen
Bobfoc
The most recent cash-grab exhibition event, which took place yesterday, featured Donald Trump on commentary.

Bobfoc
Joshua and Usyk fight tonight. My bold prediction is that both Joshua and Fury will lose their title fights.
Benjamin
Can't wait for this fight. Joshua should win, though, right? Based on Wilders' benching form, I'm gonna' say he gets knocked out earlier
