What the fuck Houston ? You're going to pay 4 of the 7 million this year, AND next year ?

It's the GodfuckingdamnsuckmyassholefuckingYankees ....

Seriously, with this kind of shit going on how the fuck can anyone honestly question why so many people hate the fuck out of them. What, did the billion dollar spree last year dry the coffers ? Fuck right off.

I now hope Berkman breaks both of his wrists <_<

- Oh, and LOL Oswalt, you douche.

Knowing that just makes it even worse.

Orioles are probably going to have the worst record in the majors this year though.

Kerry Wood goes to the Yanks, Ted Lilly and Ryan Theriot to the Dodgers with Octavio Dotel shortly behind, Cards get Jake Westbrook while Ryan Ludwick goes to San Diego, Rays get Chad Qualls, Pittsburgh and Arizona trade because they can, Rick Ankiel and Kyle Farnsworth head to Atlanta, Ramon Ramirez goes to SF, Jarrod Salty goes to Boston, and Will Ohman goes to Florida.

One more deal: Yankees acquire Wood from Indians

July 31, 2010

NEW YORK -- The New York Yankees acquired pitcher Kerry Wood from the Cleveland Indians on Saturday, the third deal in less than 24 hours for the World Series champions as they beefed up for the stretch run.

Wood, a hard-throwing, 33-year-old righty, gives the Yankees another setup option alongside Joba Chamberlain for closer Mariano Rivera.

The Yankees sent Cleveland a player to be named or $500,000, and the Indians gave New York $2,172,131. New York will pay $1.5 million of the $3,672,131 remaining on Wood's $10.5 million salary this year. His contract includes an $11 million team option for 2011.

New York also finalized its deal to obtain designated hitter Lance Berkman from Houston along with $4 million for reliever Mark Melancon and minor league infielder Jimmy Paredes.

A day earlier, the Yankees obtained outfielder Austin Kearns from the Indians for a player to be named.

Wood was activated from the disabled list by the Indians on Saturday. He had been sidelined by a blister on his right index finger.

It was his second time on the DL this year. He didn't pitch until May 8 because of a strained muscle in his upper back.

Wood was 1-4 with a a 6.30 ERA and eight saves in 23 relief appearances for Cleveland. New York opened a roster spot by designating right-hander Chan Ho Park for assignment.

Cleveland has until Oct. 15 to decide whether to select a player from a designated list or to take the cash.

So the Yankees got Berkman, Wood and Kearns and essentially gave up reliever Mark Melancon and minor league infielder Jimmy Paredes. As if that wasn't bad enough, they got Cleveland to pay half of Wood's salary AND Houston to pay $ 4 million for Berkman. They may also lose two "players to be named later", or a grand total of $1 million.

All I can say at this point is GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE. The richest team in the league is actually getting small market teams to pay THEM to enhance their chances at another World Series and somehow this is acceptable behavior in MLB. Yeah, I'm done with this league.

I swear, baseball should just do something like this: Winner of the ALCS and NLCS play each other, then have a five game series afterwards vs. the Yankees for the World Series.

Selig might be stupid enough to do it. And well, the wealth gap is getting far far out of control now. Steinbrenner is dead, we need a salary cap now.

I believe A-Rod sued them recently because under a restructuring plan, they neglected to factor in outstanding money owed to him.
