Dong Hyun Kim versus John Hathaway at TUF China, which had me foaming. That's a fucking outstanding match up.

Meh, Hathaway hasn't fought in nearly 18 months so I'd expect Kim will win quite convincingly. Hathaway is still the "future British hope" for the UFC which is a worrying state of affairs for UK MMA.

Ok I'm watching Jones/Gust right now and what the hell did they say Jones fighting style was? I'm sure I've seen a Jones fight before but the fighting style sounded made up

It was more a matter of Gus not doing anything in round 2, and definitely losing 4 and 5, that gave Jones the win. Like the GSP-Hendricks decision, had it gone the other way there would be no more nor no less controversy. Those types of matches are hard to call.

I'm disappointed we aren't getting a rematch right away.

Just a warning for those in the UK: tomorrow's UFC Fight Night from Singapore will not be live on BT Sport as it's 11:30am UK time, and as they can't show it before the watershed it's on tape delay at 9pm.

I was thinking about how watered down TUF had become, so I searched out a Sporcle quiz on TUF winners to see how I did.

Just in case people haven't seen it yet, I'll spoiler regarding the Singapore show.

Lim is a fucking warrior. What a great little main event. His leg took an absolute battering and yet he still comes out in the fourth and fifth and gives it his best shot. Awesome.

Also, Dutra with the most blatant illegal elbows to the back of the head and yet he still thinks they're legal.

It was a weird "illegal elbow" night from the fights I saw. Strange that there was a 2 point deduction without even a warning.

Lim/Saffiedine was a great fight. Just brawling, insanity from Lim when he could barely stand, and then Lim nearly winning in the end was awesome.

Easily the best show of the year so far

The best/worse thing was that Dutra could've been penalised for two things, 12-6 elbows or elbows to the back of the head. Oh, and Steve Percival's refereeing was shocking in the co-main, letting Soriano go out after he tapped.

Dominick Cruz is out injured.

Renan Barao is the official champion.

First defense will be against Urijah Faber.

Weidman vs Belfort is going to happen.

Well then, Dominick Cruz is out of UFC 169 and his title has been vacated and given to Renan Barao. Instead it will be Barao vs Urijah Faber for the belt. Cruz has suffered a groin tear though, so nothing to do with his knee.

Goddamn, Cruz has missed almost three years of his prime due to injuries.
