Berober
I hope Delph gets the start again, although who knows, I'm hopeful we don't need to be worrying too much about San Marino
Hobo
Hodgson said that he'll call up Luke Shaw and/or James Chambers from the U21s if needs be. I don't see why he just doesn't call up some other defenders. I'm sure there are some out there.
Dynamite
I can't believe how few strikers we have these days. I mean Rickie Lambert is now an automatic inclusion in any England squad and he hasn't even played 90 minutes combined of Premier League or Champions League football this year, let alone score a goal. Matt
I can't believe how few players we have full stop. Our second choice team would be absolutely shocking, if we work on Thrilla's team it'd look something like: Forster, Clyne, Shaw, Jones, Smalling, Townsend, Milner, Delph, Shelvey, Ox, Lambert. Rafael
I'd have taken Berahino over Lambert, to be honest. Has been quite good this season, and was very prolific at the U21s.

Gazz
Stupid Rafa, he plays for West Brom. Only Ben Foster plays for England and West Brom, and that's only because England's fourth choice goalkeeper is Ellis.
King Ellis
We had hoped to get Ruki in to fill the goals but unfortunately rumours of an English grandparent didn't pan out.
Adam
On a serious note, I'd rather see the likes of Berahino and Chambers in the U21s. One of the things we don't do is blend these youngsters together well enough as a team before they hit the senior first XI. We put too many into the senior set-up perhaps too early and then they don't get the experience of regular appearances for the U21s, particularly in tournaments. It's better for players like Berahino, Shaw and Chambers to play in this play-off match with Croatia together than for 15 minutes against San Marino for the senior side.

Admin Lineker Posted October 6, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted October 6, 2014 Chambers replaces the injured Stones in the senior squad.
MDK
If we don't score 6+, this will be a failure.
King Ellis
I can't believe Andy Selva is still going.
9 to 5
If we don't score 6+, this will be a failure. I have England down to win with a -5 handicap, odds were 8/13. :/
Hobo
San Marino are no Gibraltar.

stokeriño
Apparently a colleague of mine had £15 on England to win 6-0 at odds of 30/1. God knows where he got them from. So close, but not quite.
TCO
I don't believe those odds for a second. Rooney to score first and England to win 6-0 was only 16/1 on Paddy Power. That's either an idiot bookie or a made up bet!
stokeriño
According to his FB post, "enhanced odds given on correct scores on Bet365 this [yesterday] afternoon". I dunno. It's all moot anyway.
TCO
I only know anyway because I was going to do a double on San Marino +6 and Gibraltar +5 that would pay out just over 3/1. I didn't do it and now regret it big time heading into tomorrow's match
