Wasn't that Andy Cole? His single Outstanding definately wasn't.

And hence why I live in the past.

Kevin Campbell had a record label, he signed that Return of the Mack guy!

Kaka's not going to Madrid, we absolutely deny it, no deal has been reached, there has been no medical... oh wait:

AC Milan have confirmed the sale of Kaka to Real Madrid in what is expected to be a world-record transfer.

The Brazil superstar was due to reveal the move at a press conference on Tuesday after undergoing a medical in his homeland.

However, the Serie A side have moved first to confirm the departure of the 27-year-old for the Bernabeu who has signed a six-year contract.

A statement on the Milan website read: "From next season, Kaka will play at Real Madrid.

"AC Milan thanked the man and the great champion Kaka for his decisive contribution to the many victories achieved in the six years of his commitment

"The loss of technique, while serious, can be remedied.

"It will be very difficult to fill the void that will be left by Kak, a shining example of professionalism, commitment and professionalism.

"AC Milan, (according to) the wishes of the managers, players and supporters of the Rossoneri, offer him the most cordial and affectionate wishes for the continuation of his sporting career."

Madrid also confirmed the deal on their website. "Kaka is a player of Real Madrid after an agreement with AC Milan," a statement read.

"The Brazilian footballer has now successfully passed all medical tests. Kaka has signed a contract for the next six seasons with Real Madrid."

The 27-year-old is currently with the Brazilian side on international duty.

Brazil face Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday after beating Uruguay 4-0 over the weekend.

Probably whatever was reported (56 million?), SkySports.com doesn't say.

Edit: BBC reckons 56m, but they're probably just going off the speculation.

I'd love us to sign Trezeguet :( If our summer signings consisted of Tuncay, Distin, Trezeguet and Lavezzi I'd be ecstatic, with Babel, Dossena and Voronin all going. Unfortunately I don't see clubs wanting to sell their players for some loose change and party size boxes of smarties.

Lavezzi's a player that I don't even understand why Liverpool want to sign. He's not a out and out striker, but he's not an actual winger or AMC, he just drifts around the place and for Liverpool to sign him and go "you stay in this position and nowhere else" seems like it's a big waste.

That said, for football's sake I hope he never leaves Napoli, seeing him and Hamsik together is fantastic and insanely entertaining.

I'm not sure how much you'd get out of Trezerguet nowadays. It seems like he's really close to the end of his career and I don't see him as a player who's got nowhere near enough to offer to a team like Liverpool. Many years ago it could of worked, but he's a shadow of his former self now and if anything he'd be like a second rate Crouch in the Premiership. I hate to knock him, because I used to love the guy, but I think Liverpool would be mad to ever go for him, even as a back up. Juve have tried to drain the last few drops out of him it seems. I cant see him going to a very big club, a middle table club would probably be the best for him. I'm just not sure how he'd do in England though, not too confident of that one. Wouldn't even be surprised if he went over to France and finished off his career down there.

Trezeguet can still do good. He did really well in the season before last and this season he's been injured pretty much the whole time, when he wasn't he lacked fitness. IMO, he can probably do good at a big team if he sticks to the bench. He's pacey, which means he can do good in England. Maybe not as good as in Italy, but he can still do well.

Also, Kaka in Spain? Should be interest to say the least.

As a Man city fan the signing of barry is great news, he should really add to an already strong midfield. Now though I think we need another 20-30 goals a season striker (we can't rely souly on bellamy). Let hart out on a season long loan DONT SELL HIM THOUGH! That would be a huge mistake IMO, and finally add another strong defender who has already proven that they can play in the premier league (lescott, or possibly even young gary cahill @ bolton).

I think that's what we're looking for. I guess his starting position would be on the left of the three behind Torres, but even with Riera out there this season there have been times when he's 'swapped' with Gerrard for the odd passage of play, despite him looking really uncomfortable in the middle.

That's the reason I don't think he'd do too well at Liverpool. His injuries have got the better of him, he's almost the French Michael Owen it seems. Great player once but I just don't see him managing too much at a big club. Maybe I'm wrong and I'd have to agree he could do some good as more of a bench player, he can still score important goals, but I'm just not sure he's the type of guy Liverpool need right now. His pace has dipped more and more as the seasons have gone by and I think he'd struggle big time in the Premiership. I'm surprised he didn't leave Juve a good year or two ago and it's almost certain he will now, so we'll see where he goes.

Kaka to Madrid is fantastic in a few ways. Hopefully that slightly stops the Ronaldo bullshit and we see no further stuff on that in this market, although I doubt that. I think he could work wonders at Madrid, certainly the type of player they need right now to break them back into being one of the actual top clubs in Europe, so good luck to the guy there. He gave Milan everything he had to give, so they certainly cant knock him. I'm now interested to see who Milan will swoop for, because they'll need a big name to come in at some point in his place.

Also, whatever happened to Ronaldo? The Brazilian one that is. Did that stuff with him going to City just disappear again? Haven't heard much about him at all or is he still injured/retiring?

He's playing in the Brazillian League and the last time I saw clips of him he seemed to be playing pretty good. I think his team ended up winning the league..not sure about that.

Don't expect the Ronaldo drama to stop, as soon as they completed the Kaka signing Perez came out and said he wants Ronaldo and that Ibrahimovic is a great player.
