I wasn't going to watch this, but my roommate is. Jackman has been fucking great so far. The opening song was brilliant.

Nice opening bit there. With the way they've been experimenting with hosts lately I think Anne Hathaway might be a future host.

Amusing, if awkward at points, opener. Which was immediately followed by a hilarious technical gaffe and dear god, if every award is presented like this I am going to scream.

Is it just me or is the pace just a little off this year. I can't put my finger on it

Everyone seemed to think Dark Knight would win all the design categories... I feel like it's going to get shut out, and yes, I'm including Ledger.

Nah, people think it will the technical stuff like special effects and edting, etc. like most blockbusters do.

And I really don't see any of the other nominees in Supporting Actor win except MAYBE Brolin, but that would be it.

Anyway, I'm incredibly surprised that Slumdog took the Cinematography award over both Benjamin Button AND The Dark Knight. Seriously, is Slumdog THAT good? I mean, Benjamin Button had a man reverse-aging and The Dark Knight had a fucking truck flipping over for fuck's sake.
