I have been rather busy as of late and I'm not certain how often I can get on, but I do offer my defensive services to the team if you will put up with the fact that I like to take point shots and are okay with the ocassional rush/pinching.

Yeah, we'd probably have lost the one game we won.

My assist was a bit showy, but still. Me and Whisper charging down the right hand side, I pull a spinarama through two human defenseman and cross off towards the boards, leaving the puck in front of Whisper who pulls the trigger on a high-angle wrister, top corner. Wonderful.

Ouch, Dragsy, That hurts, You could have atleast said I would have been better than the AI.

I'm going away today, Dragsy will probably be at work so chances are we won't be on at the same time. I won't be a massive miss though so if Dragsy is up for it then see if someone else can be drafted in. There's much better than me available.

And setting up the puck means having time. You're more than welcome to join the team, we'll give you the puck as quickly as possible and you can try and get a set up going. When you're checked off the puck by 3 people within half a second of getting the puck you'll probably realise that it's not really a tactic that will work for us. However, if you can hold the puck for a couple of seconds while everyone charges down on goal then your more than welcome to try and spray the puck around to some of the forwards and see what we can get going.

Will, I'm definitely not opposed to setting up, the few times we've actually managed to cycle, it's been awesome. It's just that it doesn't tend to end in goals, largely due to the way the AI goalie works. The AI's programmed to expect certain things like sensible offensive play, and in typical scoring situations, it tends to be fairly solid. The trouble is that it's geared towards catering for hockey fans, not gamers who cheese and glitch and exploit stuff. So it has no idea what to do when someone shoots parallel to the goalline for example. It also explains the soft dump goals (which were thankfully fixed with the patch).

Goals tend to come easier on the rush to be honest. As Dragsy said we've been able to set up some before but it doesn't tend to end in goals.

I need help with a quick decision here.

Leafs are in rebuilding mode... Tampa Bay places Chris Gratton on waivers. His faceoff rating is 95. My NHL guys are struggling with faceoffs... BUT... he's old, and that doesn't fit into the rebuilding plan. Also, I'm planning on acquiring a faceoff specialist before the trade deadline, which is in 2 weeks game time...

Do I claim Chris Gratton off waivers, move Grabovski to a wing and let that push someone out of the starting lineup?

Or do I let him slide through and see what I can get at the deadline in a younger faceoff guy?

Either way, I'm making a move to improve my faceoffs at the deadline.
