The Best Rivalries in Games

Fuck Mario and Sonic, it's never been a true rivalry bar Mario & Sonic at the Olympics and Smash Bros, I'm talking the in-game rivalries, such fantastic ones as Cloud and Sephiroth from FFVII, Scorpion and Sub-Zero from MK, Sonic and Knuckles from the Sonic series, Red and Blue from Pokémon. Which are your favourites?

I've always had a soft spot for the Seifer and Squall rivalry in Final Fantasy VIII, the parralels of how similar they are, and yet their outlooks are so different, with a few small changes either one could've been a hero or a villain.

Niko Bellic vs Faustan (i think its him). Quite dramatic.

Bond vs Traveyln in Goldeneye. It was more dramatic being bond in the game than watching bond in the film. Made the ending much more fun by being able to shoot Sean Bean yourself.
