Game Gear deal

The local Gamestation has a Game Gear in the window with six games for £0, two of the being Sonic 1 and 2. Is it worth it?

My gut feeling say yes, yes oh god yes (Sonic on the Game Gear was great as I recall)

I like that they charge £20 for it but if you tried to sell them it back they'd give you 50p at best.

Sonic was the one game where I really didn't mind the right D-pad button being stuck down on my Game Gear.

Outside of maybe three games, the Game Gear's not really worth it. The screen is piddly small if I remember rightly. But then, we have just had a Game Gear screen magnifier traded in, think they got a couple of quid for it, we're selling at £4.

The 8bit versions of Sonic 1 & 2 were indeed great. Although of course on a Game Gear you will need to replace batteries by the time you reach the end of Jungle Zone.

Agreed. Only reason my Game Gear doesn't see a little more playtime is because the AC adapter was misplaced a long while ago. The thing quite literally eats batteries. It sucks.

i heard you can get a gamecube these days for £37. compared to that £20 for a game gear is a bit of a rip off.
