Meh I'm torn on that one. He did absolutely bring him down on purpose, but there was another player coming round and would have intercepted him. Should probably have been a yellow.

Yeah, it was just past the centre circle, and there was a covering defender when he fouled Jo. No doubt in anyone's mind, surely, that it should've only been a yellow.

If it was closer to the goal then it would have been a red, but because they were so far out and Carvalho was coming round it just depends on whether the ref thought he would've been able to intercept Jo's run.

The problem with City signing Robinho is that he's obviously miles better than anyone else on their team, so every time Ireland/SWP etc. get the ball they're just looking to give it to him straight away.

Well, he would've definitely had more of a chance to get there than Ferdinand did when Vidic brought Keane (I think) down when he looked to be through earlier. Vidic only got a yellow...at the time, anyway.
