Looks like the last Canadian team in the playoffs was just eliminated.

I'm not only happy that Chicago won so that Vancouver was out... but I am also just happy for Chicago. They're an exciting team to watch.

I think they match up well against either Anaheim or Detroit... so I definitely won't be counting out a possible appearance in the Cup Finals.

Way to go Chicago! My 2nd team is really showing up, I love it.

My dream final right now would be Washington vs Chicago.

Game 6 in the Boston series should be great. Naturally I want Carolina to win cause they took out Jersey, and could take out the Bruins, but I'm curious to see how everything goes down. I don't think there would be half as much hoopla bout Ward if he hadn't gone down like a house of cards. If he got hit, and then fought back or whatever.... I didn't see the whole play, but it seemed dirty as shit.

Well, a lot of people were tuning in, but they've now tuned out. The NHL just lost another opportunity to regain footing in the US.

Just because the Most Valuable Primate's going golfing? You really think so?

EDIT: After thinking about it, you could also be referring to the fact that Game 7 was anti-climactic and essentially a blowout. Which I would agree with.

Great win by the Pens.

I can't wait for tomorrow night's games. Gotta root for Carolina and Anaheim.

That yeah. It had taken all series, but there was a bit of a buzz about hockey I haven't seen out of friends in awhile. Seemed like a sign to me hockey was gaining momentum, but a blowout like today surely killed a lot of that.

Yeah, I'm sort of in the same boat. The playoffs have been fantastic so far but aside from Chicago I didn't want to see any of these teams advance. I'm pretty much resigned to Detroit winning it again and then having to endure listening to their obnoxious fans.

The Boston/Carolina overtime was insane. Thomas (and Ward, for that matter) were both fantastic.

I went to Game 7 in 2006 when Carolina won the cup and it was an awesome experience. I'm too broke to do it again this year, but I'm still rooting for them. Besides, it's Hurricane tradition to have two shitty seasons in a row, then have a random finals appearance, so they're due.
