It´s some cooling fluied that aperently is very cheap so it wears of fast. A quick fix is/can be to use the PS3 vertical because it builds less heat that way.

From what I've read only the 60 gig has a built in one. I don't have mine here at the moment and have never tried to hook it up to wireless. I was just reading and they said the 40 Gig, whichever mine is doesn't have one. Am I wrong?
