The guys that you listed there would be able to get some quality draft picks in return, and probably even a player or two who could help the team right now. Obviously, it wouldn't be a superstar player... but there are lots of non-superstars who make huge impacts.

Take a look at a guy like Byron Ritchie, or Michael Zigomanis... or veteran guys that aren't getting time they want like Recchi before he was claimed off waivers.

You don't need to completely sacrifice the present to build for the future. You just need to be smart about who to bring in. Instead of trying for a guy who could be a 30 goal scorer, why not just get a bunch of guys who come to play every night, even if they only score 5 or 10 a year?

Montreal wins again on the Road. Great game overall, Huet made a boneheaded move but what can you do. When you look at some of the stats like odd man rushes where Montreal had 9 and Atlanta 1 while we held them to 18 shots... we played a solid defensive game.

Also, Andrei Kostitsyn made another highlight reel goal... too bad it happened the same night as that Rick Nash tomfoolery of magnificence or else it would definately made highlight of the night. He's so good. He hits, plays a two way game solidly, has great hands and a wicked shot. Love him. AK-46

The Pens are without Crosby tonight, but I somehow still see this as a very hard game for Montreal to win.

Exactly. He didn't get drafted because of his strong defensive game, I can tell you that. The NHL probably included some accents and shit on the consonants to confuse the Leafs.

That's my point. The league clearly added a whole shit of funky-looking accents and hats over the letters to make everyone think it was harder to pronounce than it was.
