NHL 08 Vs. NHL 2K8

I seem to be very good at lining up hits EVERYWHERE on the ice. My opponents barely get into my offensive zone.

I hit more often than most of the people I do, but as I go for hits all the time, sometimes I am just left hanging in defense, which is why I can occasionally ship goals.

Everyone poke checks the hell out of me, but I always say "screw that European stick play!" and smash them into the boards!

I go for the pokecheck with my first d-man then if I miss I have my second to demolish them.

[Toe]

Why use the stick when you can utterly annihilate someone?

Cause its easier to counter-attack with a pokecheck.

I've fallen apart online. Lost my last 5 games, and only one of them was close scorewise. It doesn't help that I keep facing people who score the same kinda goal over and over. Its even more annoying because whenever I try and do what they do, it never seems to work. I always hit the post or my player doesn't even hit the puck on the one timer.

I'm sure people aren't that bothered by my online exploits, but just ended a 9 game (yes, 9 game) losing streak with a 1-0 victory as the Devils over the Rangers. Shoulda been a hell of a lot more, to be honest, I missed some glorious chances, but still, held out for the victory.

I am getting NHL 09 on release day, even if I have to do horrible things to get it.

Just lost 3-0 online....outshot the guy, out hit the guy, had the puck more, won more face-offs (all of these by a fair way), and not only did his goalie play a blinder, but he scored the same goal 3 times. I don't really get the point of playing cheaply online.
