The Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

Seriously, this is the least disappointing follow up to an amazing record ever. "Intervention" is now my favorite Arcade Fire song (even more so than "Rebellion (Lies Lies)") and a bunch of songs (the names of which I can't remember as I listened to the record on my way to school on my iPod Shuffle) are instant classics. Everything sounds fucking anthemic too, and there's no question whether there's substance to back it up. I've only heard like 4 albums so far this year, but this one is going to have a very good shot at being the best of the year.

I fell in love with Arcade Fire when I heard Power Out...and then began to really appreciate their different sound when I downloaded the album. This one is already really cool, I'm three tracks in, but it's just too easy to like. They are a band I just have to see live, incredibly original sounding band.

Well, the album is out in the US (and I believe worldwide) on Tuesday, and for those US fans, Circuit City has the album on sale for $7.99...so there really is no excuse to not buy it now. >_>
