I assume it's Trad Maf in the sense there are no "roles", only Townie & Mafia, so roleclaiming won't help.

Yeah, it is. With the exception of the Calvin and Hobbes role, which makes the rules of the game, but the role is prohibited from claiming anyway.

Roleclaiming isn't the only thing that makes a game Traditional though. If we've got to fuck about with roleposting and singing songs and pretending to be the worst mafia player in the world it's a theme game, not TradMaf.

Yup. It was a fun game, but it was impossible to get your point across and it was distracting having to follow the rules, so it wasn't Traditional. This game might be Traditional or it might be Random Rules 2, but it's entirely at the whim of one person. Judging by the first day, it's going to be the latter.
