I watched Life Is Beautiful around my girlfriends the other day, and it is one of the best films I've ever seen. It is in Italian with subtitles, "A Jewish man has a wonderful romance with the help of his humour, but must use that same quality to protect his son in a Nazi death camp" being the main premise (stolen from imdb.com).

I was just wondering who had seen it, and what they thought of it....since I hadn't heard about it till then.

Have it on DVD and make a habit of watching it at least once a year. It's an excellent film which starts off very funny but then becomes emotional and touching. One of my favourite films.

Awesome film. I remember seeing it in theaters back in the day and it's still outstanding to this day. It's a good holocaust movie because it's not the token "OH NOEZ, THE GERMANS ARE OVERWORKING ME TO DEATH" film (I know, it's horrible to say that but that genre has kinda been beaten to death).

I'm just suprised Liam likes it because he hates Jews

I watched it too when it came out and was one of the first DVD's I ever bought. One of the best movies ever.

Roberto Benigni, right? If it's the movie I'm thinking, it's an excellent movie, and I definately recommend it. I don't even usually like that kind of movies, and I love it.
