At TGS, Xbox announced a bunch of games that are coming to Gamepass (in Japan. Hopefully all of these will be in NA GP too, like Resident Evil!) https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2020/09/24/xbox-at-tokyo-game-show-2020/

I think it just says that those games are coming to Series X/S in Japan, not necessarily through Game Pass.

Apparently that fancy 1TB SSD card is due to be $220 US, £220 (thanks MS) and €250.

I think people are naturally baulking at that price but someone in the thread I was reading on Twitter suggested it wasn't that bad if it's comparable to the higher end, newer type SSD's. 

But there were people like "Why would I spend $220 when I just got 1TB for $60?" so I think that's going to be another avenue for potential confusion like the whole One X Vs Series X thing. Like, people might not be fully aware they can't play next gen titles on anything that isn't the internal SSD or the special external one.

But there's an article on the Xbox site that implies you can store next gen games on USB3 drives and then transfer them over? That might be a cheaper solution if they transfer quickly or you're willing to wait a little while

Yeah, this is my solution.  Keep 3-4 games on the internal SSD and the rest can go on my external drive.  Certainly not buying a SSD card that costs $80 less than the console, would have just bought a Series X if I wanted to spend that much money.

Unless game file sizes increase significantly, it doesn't seem like an insurmountable problem. If you have a slow internet connection, transferring games to external hard drives is probably a good idea.

I think there's talk that games sizes might even be able to go down in this generation, but we'll see how that shakes out I guess.

Looks as though next-gen backwards compatibility is more alluring than some might have thought.

This is without any optimisation tweaks, so the console improves performance on old games out of the box.

I saw that earlier today and it blows me away. Monster Hunter World and Sekiro just getting upped to 60 frames without any additional work needed to them? I am all the way fucking in.

EA Play will officially join Game Pass on 10th November, which makes a lot of sense, given what else is coming out that day.

You'll presumably have to wait for them to join the service. EA Play doesn't usually put its games on there until at least several months after they release.

Let me get this straight, on the Series X, using my same Microsoft account I will still get my Xbox One games / purchases still that I can play? Do we know if family sharing will still be the same?
