Agreed. Sure it wasn't a revolutionary album, or one of the best albums of all time, but there's hardly a bad song on there, and the majority are really good.

I liked it. It didn't blow me away, but I didn't see the reason for the hatred. It was good background music, and 'Why do you get all the love in the world' is one of the few songs that creeps onto every playlist I ever make.

It's wierd regarding NIN albums, as it's such a varied opinion from person to person. I actually liked With Teeth more than The Fragile, and know a few people who feel the same way, but I think I was the only one that felt that way on here when With Teeth came out. Then there are others who feel Downward Spiral was never topped.

I know what you mean...Nine Inch Nails just don't seem special any more, I don't know what it is. They haven't to me for a long time...there was a brief resurgence for me that came from seeing them live, but even before that I didn't really care that much for them.

After having heard Trent's collaborations with Peter "I'm not Bill Nighy" Murphy, I thought maybe that would get me big into them again, but it didn't, it just showed how much Trent pales in comparison to Peter Murphy.

I liked it and I still like it. I remember the reaction on here being far more positive when the CD came out. Even Reznor can't make an album the quality of the Fragile everytime of trying.

The reaction was postive, but I always thought it wasn't that good. I'm not a big NIN fan though, so that may have played into it a little bit. Seriously, it bores me after about the 7th track. There are some good individual songs that I don't mind, but I just can't really listen to the album for whatever reason.

And I agree with Tristy in so far as Pretty Hate Machine just hasn't aged well. I still love The Downward Spiral, but otherwise I've never really thought that highly of NIN as some people have.
