Favourite film sequels

So, which sequels do you prefer to the originals?

For me I can't say Aliens (original is far far superior), or Kill Bill, or Predator, or Battle Royale, or Starship Troopers or or or or or......

So I guess I'm struggling.

For some reason the only one I can think of outside of what you listed is Rush Hour 2.

Aliens > Alien, though they are totally different films really, so depends what you are looking for.

Austin Powers 2 is funnier than Austin Powers, personally.

Wayne's World 1 and 2 are interchangeable depending on how I feel.

Rocky 3 is my favourite Rocky, but doesn't mean it is necessarily the best film. Mr T and Hulk Hogan appearing in it gives it a head start though.

Austin Powers 2 is funnier than Austin Powers, personally.

Blasphemy.

X-Men 2 is ridiculously better than X-Men... the quality jump is obscene. And I've always preferred Terminator 2.

Hm, other sequels, could I say the second Lord of the Rings? I really like the ending to Two Towers.

Austin Powers I used to believe was really funny, yet on repeat value, 2 has it by a mile. Austin Powers has funnier moments, but just doesn't have as many of them.

And blasphemy for the Terminator 2 comment. Aside from the story just being better, Terminator works better as a bad guy....the whole face turn for Terminator 2 just doesn't do it for me at all, and just ruined it somewhat,

Austin Powers was just so damn original when it first came out. It was absolutely hysterical and was the first time I ever burst into tears from laughing so hard at a movie... and that happened in the opening credits.

And Terminator vs. T2 is debateable, I'll certainly agree there. But I've always favored 2... at least we can all agree that Terminator 3 fucking ate my ass.

Oh yeah, I agree and was adamant to my mates that 1 was better than 2 when I argued about it not too long ago. Then, I re-watched them both. 2 had me laughing a lot more than 1, thus swung my vote.

Pirates of the Caribbean is tough. I'm leaning towards Dead Man's Chest, but I just watched Curse of the Black Pearl twice this week and that is just one damn great movie.

I suppose I'll stick to South Park DVD's.
