Great start to this game, should be a good game to watch here.

Certainly looked over the line to me, let off that's for sure. Ivory Coast have started pretty damn good though. I've never really had a chance to properly watch them, certainly a nice start to this game.

Ivory Coast are looking great so far, they've really surprised me.

And fuck me, 2-0 now and that came from nowhere. Beautiful finish, it's a shame too because Ivory really were starting to look like they could level things up.

Why are people so surprised that Ivory Coast are doing well? They were the runners-up in the African Nations Cup, and the best African Nation to qualify.

I missed about 20 pages of discussion when I was at the beach, but I'll take a wild guess and assume a lot of those pages are for the England match. I missed the first half (had to clean out the house I was staying at down the beach) but I caught the second. England didn't look poor, they just looked like they were trying as hard as they could not to tire themselves and injure themselves for the knockout rounds. That's what I got out of it.

I missed Trinidad and Sweden unfortunately. I saw both matches yesterday. Poland really looked bad. Germany surprised me in their seeming lack of defense.
