So, yeah, I love this guys music, every single track (well, I have 2 albums, Brushfire Fairtales and In Between Dreams), but I was wondering if there was anyone else out there who had a similar sound? obviously there is, but who?

I'm talking the type of acoustic that in some cases doesn't need backing music, just one guitar and some chilled out lyrics.

I suppose you could check out some of the more basic Willy Mason tracks, he's very good when he wants to be. Colin Hay is extremely talented, and of course, the always amazing Adem.

Adem seems to be pretty hard to find, but its definately worth searching, some of the best acoustic music around, if you ask me.

Donovan Frankenreiter (surfer aswell, some songs with Jack on the album, same record label, was suport on Jack Johnsons Euro Tour a cupple of month ago is on solo tour in our area at the moment i think - new jack johnson dates are anounced for next year aswell btw.)

You might want to consider the Some Live Songs EP by Bushfire Records - http://www.brushfirerecords.com/

Also check out John Butler Trio, it´s a bit more Reggea but still alike a lot http://www.johnbutlertrio.com/ (i think they have some free concert somewere on the site, but i am not shure)

I became interested in Jason Mraz's music through listening to Jack Johnson. They both have the ability to hold your attention with totally random subjects. I'd say try and find some of Mraz's acoustic sets (which is easy, if you know where to look, ahem). He's amazing live.

Well in response to chilled out acoustic guitar music I recommend you check out "José González". He's Swedish (Yes...with a name like that) and has some amazing tracks.

If you've seen that new Sony widescreen tele advert (With the bouncy balls) his track "Heartbeats" is used and it's from his debut album "Veneer". Definately worth checking out. (Y)

(Yeah I bumped this...but I only found out who this guy was last night, or it might have been this morning. I can't remember).
