The Chris Isaak/Metallica Connection

Yeah, I found a version of Nothing Else Matters a few years back that was labeled "Metallica & Chris Isaak", and now I have a version of Isaak's Wicked Game that has this laugh at the beginning that is in that version of Nothing Else Matters.

I don't know, maybe it's my ears playing tricks on me or something. But I just found that Nothing Else Matters version on LimeWire again, and I was playing Wicked Game, and... yeah.

Is there a connection between the two? Did they do a little acoustic set together or what?

That's probably from when Chris Isaak sung Nothing Else Matters together with Metallica in a San Francisco radio show. The laugh probably comes from that event, i assume.

Anyways, if anyone is wondering, I highly suggest you find the acoustic versions of both of the songs I am speaking of. They're worth it. Top notch stuff.
