So.. in US History.. we just got to the 60s.. and my teacher told me I could burn a CD and discuss it with the class... so if you guys were going to burn a "soundtrack" to the 60s.. what would you put on it?

The Rolling Stones - Paint It Black

The Animals - House of the Rising Sun (or "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place")

The Kinks - You Really Got Me

Mamas And The Papas - Creeque Alley

Janis Joplin - Piece Of My Heart

Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit

The Cowsills - The Rain, The Park, And Other Things

The Troggs - Wild Thing

The Tokens - The Lion Sleeps Tonight

The Guess Who - These Eyes

EDIT: Can't believe I forgot The Guess Who.

I suppose I don't have to suggest anything Beatles-related to you, huh, fults? Though I'd include two songs there. Early Beatles (something like "A Hard Day's Night" or "Help!") and later Beatles (something like "A Day in the Life" or if you really want to do both extremes, "Helter Skelter.").

Like A Rolling Stone, Mr. Tamborine Man, Blowing In The Wind, some Dylan has to be on the soundtrack of the '60's. Probably some Velvet Underground too.
