I just started a new game with Newcastle, I plan to make them a top European force like I did with Villa, but it takes me fucking ages. I signed Mellberg for 8.5m. He's been playing out of his skin.

I plan on getting Patrick Evra in the summer, but I need someone to fill Shearers boots, any suggestions? So far, I've come up with Alan Smith and James Beattie as potential targets.

I gave up my Northampton game after realising I'd just basically signed my Bristol team :shifty:

Now I'm at Chicago Fire and doing amazingly well. I don't know how good they are IRL, but the General Manager was like "Yeah...just don't finish last.." but we're pwning.

I don't know how well he'd do in England, but I'd reccomend Ante Razov as your next Alan Shearer :P

yeah. me too. Except when i'm years into my game, and most of the players (or all of them) are regens. In the beggining though, i always pick the players i actually like and that i think in real life would be useful for the position i want.

Still, i've seen Robinho play about 100 times and i still don't buy him on FM :P

I bought Robinho before I heard any hype. Still haven't heard any. :\

The reason he probably got so high stats is because for ages Chelsea, Real Madrid and other big European clubs were looking at him...I don't think they are actively anymore though.
