What episodes of TV shows do you always skip?

Can you expand on this please? I only ask because while I do think the final season maybe except for the last few episodes wsn't as strong as what proceeded it, DS9 from season 3/4 onwards was all very good in general in my opinion and I am interested to hear other thoughts

Yeah the Dominion War is probably my favourite piece of any Star Trek series ever. All my cousins that got me into Star Trek loved it, too, so it is a little weird hearing someone say it wasn't good.

The Dominion War stuff isn't my favourite stuff. Same with the 3rd season of Enterprise.

The deeper in I go, the more and more I seem to hate Law & Order: SVU, but it's really dumb shit TV but I get to turn my brain off for a few hours after work.

I think I'm into season 18 or 19, after starting the watch on Prime from the first season they have there which is I think season 12, and my god, I have skipped a lot of episodes. The ones that specifically involve their personal lives, like the ones with Benson getting kidnapped (repeatedly!) or the ones with Rollins' sister.

I can't believe there's new episodes coming out even this year.

Seconded.  When following a show live as it airs then it's great because it's airing during the season and the little break from the main plot, usually always more lighthearted, is welcome timing.

Any other time of the year it just is too grating for me.  And since it's seemingly illegal for sitcoms to not do a Christmas episode every year, I'm often skipping an episode every season in rewatches.

One reason I'm glad we dumped cable is because Heidi would watch most, if not all, of the Hallmark Channel's Christmas In July movies.

On the flip side to others, I love a good Christmas episode regardless of time of the year. One thing I would love in streaming in general is a "playlist" option like you get in music, so I could make a playlist of xmas episodes when it is xmas though.

I do get why some people like Christmas movies/episodes all year round. But I personally only like them around Christmas. Its not as dumb as stores having Christmas merchandise out between Halloween and Thanksgiving (early-mid November), though. 

Then again, I prefer Halloween to Christmas, anyway.

Also, I own the first season of Deadiest Warrior on DVD. I don't believe the other two seasons were ever released. I absolutely refuse to re-watch the Knight vs. Pirate episode, because the results were bullshit and the fight made the Knight look like an idiot.

Basically, the Pirate wins due to guns, despite the flintlock barely denting the armor AND not hitting where it was aimed during testing, and the blunderbuss misfired the first attempt. The Knight more or less lost during the fight enactment because he didn't pick up his dropped shield and left his visor up after raising it to look around. The only Pirate weapon effective at all against armor during testing was the Grenado. The only other fights I had an issue with in the entire series were Viking vs. Samurai (Samurai won, but should have had a higher kill count) and Spartan vs. Samurai. But its generally accepted by fans that the Spartan won due to bias, because the main Spartan expert was also one of the show's producers.
