Welcome one and all to the 2024 A League Season, where we celebrate the Memphis Maniaxx!   But Maxx(x?) you say, why the extra X?   Well you certainly are an eagle eyed viewer who is likely entirely hypothetical because I doubt anyone actually cares to remember how Memphis Maniaxx was properly spelled.   The extra X is there to denote that this is our 20th season! 

 

I will now pause for us all to feel old.

 

 

My back hurts.  Anyways, our theme is defunct teams from defunct leagues this year.  The other reason I picked the AX, is because their logo is what I'll look like midway through August when I'm trying to juggle three leagues and my job.  Let's remember some legendary Maniax.   Alvin Harper.  Jim Druckenmiller.  Rashaan Salaam.   Well that was fun.   Rashaan Salaam was a Chicago Bear, do you know who else was a Chicago Bear?  Justin Fields, who helped lead Dragsy to his first ever league title last season in our first ever Bears Fan Bowl!   Fields' reward was a swift kick out the door, while Dragsy got a new franchise QB.  Is he bold enough to try to ride Caleb Williams to another title?  Will Srar bear down and finish the job this year?  Or maybe Lowerdeck will win or something, I don't know, I'm psychic.  But I know is enemy damshow won't win!   Oh you don't believe me?  Check the draft order Lineker sent over!
