Could it really be possible? 🥹

For this year it’s possible.  I mean it’s Jones or Drew Lock so it’s not like either will set the world on fire.  If/when the team fall out of it officially I’m still expecting Jones to get benched to protect the injury guarantee ala Russell Wilson last year.

They might not be in a position to draft a QB, but there’s also not that many QB-needy teams either.  I do think Jones is done after this year though unless he truly has special chemistry with Nabers (and badly thrown balls that Nabers reels in wouldn’t count as that)

There are (and will be next year) just enough veteran QBs around that they can sign a stopgap and hope for a deep QB pool one of the next few years. Kinda what they did when they drafted Jones, except with better results.

Also Cmac is headed to a specialist in Germany for his injury. That's not good.

I felt like neither team could play defense in this game. I mean Washington was better of course because they stopped a lot of Touchdown chances from very short yardage but I'm not convinced that wasn't just Cincinnati's inability to convert what should have been easy plays.

On the other hand, when Washington got that close, it was almost like the entire Bengals Defence just sat their and watched them walk over the line, or in one case grandma toss the ball over the line.

I was pretty impressed with Jayden Daniels though, I felt like he played pretty calm and poised, executed what he needed to do, and went out there and won the game. And he torched Cameron Taylor-Britt who had been mocking him earlier in the week, so I am sure that helped out hahahaha

I feel like Mike Brown is too much of a cheapskate to fire Zac Taylor, but there's got to be a decent chance he gets canned and they go after Joe Brady.

Anarumo will be this team's fall guy. I think Cincy turns it around in a couple years if they draft well on defense, a big part of their success was good defensive FA signings on Burrow's rookie deal. They now have to build up on rookie deals on the other side of the ball and hope Burrow regains his pre-injury form.

Well, that's certainly an excuse a former football player could use to avoid awkward questions over their part in what's been described as "the largest public embezzlement case in state history" where the state alleges you orchestrated the diversion of millions of dollars worth of federal welfare funds into a biotech start-up and a volleyball court.
