Depends on the sport here - Jake Humphreys was briefly a gymnast as a child so they wheel him out to announce for the gymnastics and he's very much a homer, but for other sports our announces are more neutral.

One thing that I can say about the US broadcast is most of the really loud homers are the color commentators who were former athletes in that sport (like Rowdy Gaines). Analysts are generally more balanced except when an American is favored or a medal contender in which case the broadcast really focuses on & cheers them on.

The thing about the US broadcast on that note is we almost always have a contender in the popular events (swimming, track, and gymnastics) that are going to be focused on during the televised broadcast. So it's all you hear.
