Yeah apparently Arsenal are looking likely to get Sterling. What a twist

Lot of defensive players for a club that didn't sell Guehi.

They sold Anderson, released Tomkins, and play in a back 3. Bringing in the 3 CBs gives them 5 now. Seems pretty standard to me. Would expect Guehi to be partnered by Lacroix and Chalobah now, with Richards and Riad as backups.

You're right. I forgot about Andersen being sold to Fulham.

Reiss Nelson changed his mind and now looks to be joining Fulham on loan.

Smith Rowe, Nelson and Iwobi back together.

It feels weird selling players at the right time who are going to be coming into the prime of their careers away from Arsenal.

Gotten so used to having to force players out or selling them for pennies.

Nketiah to Crystal Palace official.

Really hope he does well there, top lad and a genuine success story for the Arsenal academy despite not hitting the heights we’d have wanted.

Good signing for Palace, always felt Nketiah had that potential to score a lot of goals at Arsenal but never really happened. Could find his feet at Palace and kick start his career. Some might say he's a 20 goal a season striker just waiting to happen...

Sterling to Arsenal done, straight loan with no option to buy.

I think it’s a decent enough short-term solution. It’s definitely an upgrade on Nelson and a player Arteta will definitely trust to start more games allowing a bit more rotation in the forward areas.

He might have a point to prove as well after being so publicly dumped by Maresca.

Not many come to mind. Think Anelka did the same four as Sterling; Arsenal, Liverpool, City and Chelsea. But could argue that City weren't a Big 6 club back then though!

Gonna sit back and enjoy another rendition of the usual cycle with Arsenal fans and Sterling...

Player at Chelsea: "Wow he's bad, lol look at those misses, fucking donkey"

Player joins other team: "Wow what a bargain, he has quality, I think he'll do well here"

Player maybe four months later: "Wow this guy is so frustrating, waste of space, what the fuck"

How many players have played for four of the so-called Big Six?

Wouldn't put it past Sterling to end up in a United or Tottenham shirt yet either...

Anelka is the only other one.

There's a couple on three like Sturridge, Kolo Toure, William Gallas, Yossi Benayoun etc. Funnily enough a few of them involve Arsenal and Chelsea

Saudi club Al-Orobah have signed Brad Young from TNS in a record sale for a Welsh Premier club - £190k.

And in a different kind of surprising and strange transfer, Victor Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on loan. After all that talk of £100m plus transfers!

Adebayor did three, as well.

Do youth teams count? Sancho was a part of City's, IIRC, so he'd be on 3 as well.

The way young players move from academy to academy these days wouldn't surprise me if there's players out there who have played for 3 of the top 6 without even making a senior appearance!
