Ohtani locked up a 40/40 season before August is over, and of course he did it on a walk-off grand slam.

He’s likely going to win MVP unanimously as a DH.  And be even better next year returning to the mound.

Generational talent doesn’t even describe it.  This probably will never happen again.

Baseball history is going to be made on Monday:

Back on June 26th, a game between the Blue Jays and Red Sox was suspended by rain. Its going to be made up as part of a doubleheader. Danny Jansen was the Blue Jays' catcher when the game was first played. But he was traded to the Red Sox in late July. Alex Cora is substituting him into the lineup when the game resumes.

So Danny Jansen will be the first player ever to play for both teams in one game.

Jansen was batting when the game was suspended, so the Blue Jays will be leading off the restart with a pinch hitter, and Jansen will be catching for the pitcher he was facing!

Have a feeling whoever gives Corbin Burnes the big contract might regret it. He's been terrible in August and his stuff just looks like it's fading, continuing a trend over the last few years.

Sounds like a Brian Cashman special.
